This private cosy nook is in the middle of our wild Apple Orchard, ideal to slow down and breathe in all that this site has to offer, sit and watch the sparrow hawks and buzzards above, Robins, blue tits and wrens pop in and out of the trees, while butterflies and bees enjoy the flowers.
This beautiful sun trap is designed for individuals, couples or small groups up to 4.
Robins Rest has its own Gas-heated shower, changing area and there are compost toilets just a 2-minute walk away.
Sessions are 2.5 hours long. Your hot tub will be ready for you upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the Robins Rest gate.
If you wish to extend your time with us, why not book in relax in our Russet Rest area. This space is located just next door with a gorgeous bell tent with a wood-fired stove, outdoor seating amongst our apple trees and lots of grassy area to stretch out and enjoy all that the wild orchard offers. This is a communal area with numbers capped at 10. Open from 9am-7.30pm. Want to extend your stay in Robins Rest, no problem if you book 2 slots together you will have from the entry time of your first slot to the exit time of your second slot to enjoy the space, please note no change of water will be carried out, but you will have continued heat within your hot tub throughout.
We are working with a local supplier for food boxes, and non alcoholic drinks can be pre-ordered directly with us. You are welcome to bring your own on-site.
We also offer Glamping, which includes 1 Robins Rest visit per 2-night stay (all sessions must be pre-booked), additional sessions can be booked at a reduced rate.
Please note that Lakeside Escape is an adult site. We do allow 16-year-olds with a parent or guardian, and noise must be kept to a minimum.
Towels and food are additional extras.
Questions:
Are there any chemicals? No, this is a chemical-free setup. After each session, the whole set-up, including the water tank, is drained and cleaned with eco-friendly products. It is all then re filled fresh before the next use.
How do you heat it? There is a seperate fire which has a water chamber built in the back of it. The water is brought up to temperature before your session.
How hot will it be? We aim for it to sit between 37-39 deg.
Do I need to touch the fire? No, we ask that you do not add anything to the fire, once the tub is up to temperature, the fire is left to dull down.
As it is fully lined and inuslated it holds the heat really well at a toasty 37-39 deg dependant on air temp, if for any reason it drops we can come out and top up the fire for you, bringing it back up to temperature very quickly.
Can I drink in the tub? Yes you are welcome to drink water in the tub and it is encouraged as the continued heat can dehydrate you.
Can I eat in the tub? No, please don’t eat in the tub, as this is a chemical free set up any particles have to be cleaned out after every use.
Can I use products in the tub? No, please do not add anything to the water.
Does it have a roof? Yes, we have a retractable roof, and there is a roof under the reclining seats.
Can it be used in the rain? Yes, nothing nicer than sitting in the tub under cover while it drops down outside.
Are there bubbles? No, this is an electric-free hot tub, not a jacuzzi, so there are no jets.
